Part 1: What is Rebirth Island?

If you say “Rebirth Island” to any Warzone player from the last few years, chances are their eyes light up. Rebirth Island is a classic large-scale battle-royale map which was deemed to a necessary home away from home.

In contrast to Area 99, the primary distinction between the two maps lies in the gameplay modes offered. Area 99 supports solos, duos, trios, and quads, whereas Rebirth Island exclusively features quads. This implies that solo players will need to join or form a team via matchmaking. According to the current Warzone playlist schedule, which runs until December 5, Rebirth Island will only offer quads during this period.

Why Rebirth Island Was Deleted?

Actually, Rebirth Island has already come back in season 1 of Black Ops 6. Unfortunately, players encountered significant issues while playing on Rebirth, especially audio—most notably, inconsistent footstep audio—which is crucial for competitive gameplay. In response, Activision removed it from the map list.

Part 2: When will Rebirth Island Come Back?

Starting Thursday, November 21, 2024 (Pacific Time), Rebirth has been reintroduced to the playlist, offering an enriched gameplay experience thanks to various lighting and audio tweaks by the developers.

Additionally, the update revives the Armory, rebalances XP rewards for players and weapons across different game modes, extends the duration of the Stim Shot's speed boost, and incorporates numerous bug fixes to enhance overall game performance.
