What is dead drops?

A dead drop is when you order drug seeds, which are always delivered in a hatch on the wall. These dead drop locations are scattered across the map. To place an order, you need to message Albert, who can be found in your phone’s messages. When ordering a dead drop, you can choose which drug seeds you want and the quantity, but there is a price limit for each purchase. Once your order is placed, you'll receive a message when it arrives, and the location of the dead drop will be shown both in your journal and on the compass at the top of your screen. 

Ordering from Albert will put you in debt, with the amount depending on your order. You must pay off this debt to continue receiving dead drops from him; otherwise, he won’t fulfill any future orders until the debt is cleared. You can pay your debt behind Dan's Hardware at a hatch.
